If you want to enjoy the wonderful countryside and clean, fresh air of Gröbming, you will find countless opportunities here to go cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, ski touring, and so much more. Wrapped up snuggly in warm blankets, you can also take a carefree ride in the back of a horse-drawn sleigh through wintry Gröbmingerland.
You will find beautiful landscapes and nicely maintained tracks in Gröbming-Winkl, on the Mitterberg, on the trail outside Haus, and at the Nordic Center in Ramsau am Dachstein.
Popular
ski touring routes for beginners lead to the Galsterbergalm and the
Michaelerberghaus. Experienced ski tourers will find spectacular routes inside
Sölktäler Nature Park and on the Dachstein Massif – with highlights including
the Edelgries freeride run and the Dachstein Glacier traverse.
The
Galsterberg features a 5 km toboggan run that promises fun for all ages – also
with night sledding on the illuminated hill every Tuesday, Thursday, and
Saturday, followed by après-ski with your “Gallic hosts.” You will also find a
toboggan run on natural snow at the Michaelerberghaus, though this one is not floodlit.
Enjoy
the pristine winter countryside during a guided snowshoe hike or a romantic
torchlit walk. Or head out along cleared winter hiking trails to explore the
area on your own.
